Patna, Jan. 13 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav said that the state has recorded significant progress in beekeeping and honey production, marking a major achievement towards increasing farmers' income, promoting agricultural diversification, and strengthening the rural economy.

Yadav said here that honey production in Bihar has increased by an impressive 177 per cent over the past decade. He added that during the financial year 2023-24, Bihar contributed 12.30 per cent to the country's total honey production, establishing itself as one of the leading honey producing states in India.
