Bengaluru, July 8 -- In a major push to bolster Karnataka's position in the aerospace and defence sector, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Industries Minister MB Patil are to meet with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tomorrow evening to formally request the establishment of two defence corridors in the state. Highlighting Karnataka's 65% contribution to India's aerospace and defence output, Patil said the state "rightfully deserves" corridors both in southern (Kolar-Chikkaballapura) and northern (Hubballi-Belagavi) regions.
