Bengaluru, Oct. 9 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will host a dinner for Congress MLAs in Bengaluru on October 13, amid intense speculation about a possible leadership change.
Political analysts suggest that the move is a calculated effort by Siddaramaiah to send a clear message of stability and assert that there will be no change in his leadership.
Siddaramaiah has already consulted AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal on party matters and intends to engage Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as well.
Party insiders said the Chief Minister's strategy is to use the gathering to counter rumours of a leadership change, particularly in light of claims from Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC president DK Shivakumar's camp.
