Bengaluru, Oct. 7 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today announced an extension of the ongoing statewide caste-based household survey, following requests from officials and limited participation in several urban areas.
Siddaramaiah said the survey, launched on September 22 to assess the social, educational, and economic conditions of the people, was originally scheduled to conclude today. However, he noted that survey work remains incomplete in several districts.
