Bengaluru, Dec. 31 -- : Karnataka Legislative Assembly opposition leader R Ashoka on Wednesday alleged that the Congress government under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, which he termed a hat government, is disregarding the local Kannadigas and creating a "Mini Bangladesh" in Karnataka.

Speaking to media representatives during a visit to the Kogilu colony in Yelahanka, where unauthorized residents had been evacuated due to enforcement pressure, Ashoka questioned the origins of the settlers. "Who are they? Where did they come from? A year ago, there were no houses here on Google Maps. Now there are homes, but these people have not even lived here for six months. How were they given electricity connections?" he asked.
