Bengaluru, Sept. 9 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today accused the BJP of deliberately attempting to disrupt communal harmony in the state, particularly following the recent violent incidents at Maddur in Mandya district.

Addressing reporters, Siddaramaiah said, "The BJP's intention and work is to disturb peace. Earlier, they had organised a Chamundi Betta Chalo rally, where RSS members and others from different regions had come to Mysuru. They all gathered and worked to disrupt peace. Now in Mandya's Maddur, violence has taken place. Before the BJP even said anything, we had already arrested 21 people.
