Bengaluru, Sept. 30 -- Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah today accused the state BJP of opposing the ongoing Social, Economic and Educational Survey because of a "Manuvadi mindset" that thrives on inequality.

"The ideology of Manuvad dictates that wealth, opportunities and political representation must remain concentrated in the same hands. The poor must remain poor, the backward must remain backward, and women must remain deprived of opportunities. Unfortunately, this Manuvadi mindset lies deep within the BJP leaders," Siddaramaiah charged.
