Bengaluru, Nov. 29 -- In a strong signal aimed at ending speculation over internal tensions, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday asserted that he and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar are fully united and will jointly follow the directives of the Congress High Command.

The Chief Minister made the remarks after a private breakfast meeting with Shivakumar earlier in the day.

Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said the Congress leadership in Karnataka remained cohesive and that there were no differences between him and the KPCC President. "Unity will continue. Myself and the KPCC President and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar are one. We are united, and there are no differences between us," he said.
