Itanagar, April 14 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today strongly advocated for the proposed Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP), describing it a national project of strategic importance.
Addressing a public meeting at Riga in Siang district, the Chief Minister appreciated the people of Riga and nearby villages for their support and for signing MoUs for Preliminary Feasibility and Allied Reports (PFAR). He informed that around 70 percent of stakeholders have already extended their consent and urged the remaining communities to come forward and join the development process.
