SIA files charge sheet against a social media user for "spreading secessionist ideology"

Srinagar, March 8 -- The State Investigation Agency (SIA), of Jammu and Kashmir Police filed a charge sheet against a social media user, accused of spreading secessionist ideology.

The charge sheet was produced before the Designated Special Court Budgam under National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act on Friday against the accused for the commission of a crime under sections 153-A of IPC, section 13 of unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and section 02 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act for judicial determination.

Police said the case pertained to the publishing of anti-national, secessionist, and pro-terrorist content on social media.
