Mulugu (Telangana), Dec. 2 -- A sub-inspector of police allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver at a resort in the Mulugu district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Harish, serving at the Vajedu Police Station.
According to police, he checked into the resort in Mullakatta, Eturunagaram Mandal, on Sunday but failed to return or respond to calls.
Concerned by his absence, colleagues visited the resort on Monday morning, where staff informed them that Harish had not answered repeated knocks on his door. Upon the arrival of the police, the door was forced open, and Harish was found unresponsive.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that personal and family issues may have driven the incident.
