Shuklas recite Sundarkand for Shubhanshu's safe landing
Bengaluru, July 15 -- As the Dragon spacecraft carrying Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla makes its final descent back to Earth, his family in Lucknow turned to devotion, reciting the Sundarkand and visiting Hanuman temples, in a heartfelt spiritual gesture for the safe return of India's space trailblazer.
Shukla's mother, Asha Shukla, revealed the family's emotional state, saying, "We are very excited. When we saw the undocking, we knew he was on his way. We did a Sundarkand recitation, visited Hanuman temple, and prayed for his safe return. We are proud that our son wrote his name in history. We will give him a grand welcome."
