Bengaluru, Nov. 25 -- Axiom Space Astronaut Subhanshu Shukla on Tuesday informed audiences about the extreme physical challenges of space travel, describing the immense G-forces during rocket launch as equivalent to a baby elephant sitting on your chest and revealing that astronauts can temporarily gain 5-6 cm in height in microgravity.

Speaking to students, science enthusiasts, and officials at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Shukla explained that the Falcon 9 rocket accelerates from 0 to 28,500 km/h in just eight-and-a-half minutes, a force far beyond everyday human endurance, even for seasoned fighter pilots.
