Balasore, Oct. 7 -- The Balasore district administration has directed all shops and commercial establishments to remain closed from 10 pm to 6 am starting today until October 21.
According to official sources, the restriction has been imposed in view of the upcoming Diwali festival to ensure public safety and maintain law and order during the festive period.
"The measure has been taken to prevent unnecessary gatherings during late hours and to maintain a peaceful environment," the order stated.
