Hyderabad, July 31 -- Deeply disappointing over the verdict in 2008 Malegaon blast case, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi today said and alleged it is deliberately shoddy investigation and prosecution is responsible for the acquittal.
The special NIA court in Mumbai acquitted all seven accused, including BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur and Lt. Col. Prasad Purohit, citing lack of credible evidence.
The blast, which occurred in a Muslim-dominated area of Malegaon in Maharashtra, claimed six lives and injured over 100 people.
