Hyderabad, June 9 -- Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, participated in a direct interaction programme with farmers at Mangalapalli in Rangareddy Rural district as part of the ongoing Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister underscored the importance of agricultural self-sufficiency in realising the dream of a developed India.

"For the dream of a developed India to come true, there must be developed work-meaning self-sufficiency in agriculture," he said.
