Chandigarh, Oct. 15 -- union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today visited Punjab and expressed dissatisfaction with the state government's handling of flood relief.

Chouhan said he had summoned Rural Development Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saundh to Ludhiana to discuss flood-related damages, but the minister did not attend. He also informed CM Bhagwant Mann through a letter.

Chouhan noted that had the PM Fasal Bima Yojana been properly implemented in Punjab, farmers would have benefited more. He urged Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Khuddian to ensure the scheme is executed effectively.
