Bengaluru, Sept. 18 -- Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on today issued a strong warning to contractors over Bengaluru's recurring pothole problem, setting a firm deadline of November to complete all repair work across the city.

Shivakumar said the government would not allow excuses or delays in tackling one of the capital's most persistent civic challenges.

"We have given contractors a final deadline to close every pothole in Bengaluru by November. This is not just about patchwork - our aim is to ensure that the roads remain safe and motorable even during the coming winter and monsoon seasons," he stated.
