Belagavi, Dec. 12 -- Karnataka Congress MLA Iqbal Hussain on Friday sparked a fresh round of political tremors by claiming that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will take over as chief minister after the ongoing winter session of the state legislature.
Speaking to reporters, the Ramanagara MLA confirmed attending Shivakumar's late-night dinner meeting with ministers and legislators, but dismissed suggestions of a show of strength. "We had dinner together. what's wrong in that?" he asked.
