Bengaluru, Dec. 14 -- Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister, DK Shivakumar, today asserted that the Congress-led government in Karnataka would not yield to intimidation, declaring that threats and warnings had no place in democratic engagement.

Addressing representatives of apartment associations at a meeting held at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha, Shivakumar reacted strongly to criticism conveyed through a letter by an association member.

Emphasising his political experience and resilience, he said he had faced imprisonment without fear of the Prime Minister or the union Home Minister, and would not be deterred by pressure tactics from individuals or groups.
