Bengaluru, Dec. 4 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday dismissed speculations of a leadership change in the state, stating that his recent travel to Delhi had "nothing to do with politics" and was purely to attend a family wedding.
Shivakumar said the media was "creating news without any strength" by suggesting that he had met the Congress high command to pursue the long-rumoured power-sharing formula. He maintained that both he and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah were "working together" and had jointly held a meeting with ministers on Wednesday evening to finalise preparations for the upcoming winter session in Belagavi.
