Bengaluru, Oct. 11 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today chose clarity over conjecture, brushing aside media speculation that he was eyeing the Chief Minister's post.

Speaking at Lalbagh Gardens here, he made it unmistakably clear that ambition did not drive him, and that he had no haste to occupy Siddaramaiah's chair.

"Someone I met at Lalbagh expressed his desire to see me as CM. He asked if the time was nearing for my elevation. I did not reply. Yet, some channels have flashed that I said the time is near.
