Bengaluru, Feb. 10 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar is travelling to New Delhi to attend All India Congress Committee (AICC) meetings related to the Assam elections, and that budget-related discussions would be held in his absence amid ongoing power-sharing deliberations in the state.
Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said Shivakumar had informed him through a letter about his Delhi visit. "DK Shivakumar has written to me stating that he is going to Delhi today to participate in AICC meetings regarding the Assam elections. A meeting on the budget will be held in his absence," the Chief Minister said.
