Bengaluru, June 23 -- Amid intensifying political tremors over the Aishwarya Gowda gold fraud case, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday delivered a forceful response to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons issued to his brother, former MP DK Suresh - vowing to fight the probe "even without anyone's backing."
Unfazed and unapologetic, Shivakumar hit out at what he suggested was selective targeting. "A case was filed against me- what happened then? Who came forward to protect us? No one," he declared, speaking to reporters here.
