Mumbai, April 22 -- Shiv Sena on Monday appealed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to bailout the cash-strapped Jet Airways.
In Shiv Sena's mouthpiece, it cited the instances of former premiers-Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, who nationalised insurance and airline companies.
It asked the PM Modi to save the 25-year-old Jet Airways which is temporarily grounded as financial crunch has shackled the private carrier's wings.
Shiv Sena surmised that the curse of Jet Airways' staff would be more profound as compared to 'Sadhvi', it added.
