Dharashiv, April 4 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde) group leader Neelam Gorhe said today that the Durgashakti Mahila Samman (award for women) was organized by the Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi in Dharashiv to make women financially stronger and independent.

She announced a fund of Rs 25 lakh from the MLA quota for women's self-help group empowerment.

A large number of women, including Shiv Sena workers from Solapur district, Dharashiv, Latur and other talukas, participated in the rally.

Addressing to gathering, Gorhe, who is deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, informed the gathering about the various government schemes for women.
