Mumbai, Sept. 26 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has warned the Maharashtra government of a massive march by Shiv Sainiks and farmers in the Marathwada region on October 11 if immediate relief is not provided to distressed farmers.
The march will be led by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray.
The party's key demands include providing aid to disaster-hit farmers before Diwali and granting a complete farm loan waiver, potentially through the PM CARES Fund.
Raut said the party had originally planned a camp for farmers' issues on October 11 in Marathwada, but a large-scale march is now planned instead, owing to the prevailing calamity.
He alleged that the current state government is "insensitive" and the administration even more so.
