Mumbai, Dec. 19 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Friday at the latter's Shivtirth residence in Mumbai, in a development seen as crucial ahead of the upcoming municipal corporation elections.

The meeting is being viewed as a significant step forward in alliance talks between the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) and the MNS, particularly for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections. Political sources indicate that the alliance is almost finalised, with only a formal announcement remaining.
