Kolhapur, Dec. 22 -- The Shiv Sena, led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has made a major political gain in the district by securing a significant share of victories in the municipal president elections held across the district's 10 municipalities and three nagar panchayats.
The Shinde faction of Shiv Sena won the Mayor's posts in Jaysingpur, Murgud and Kurundwad, marking a strong performance and establishing clear dominance in the district. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) followed with victories in Chandgad, Hupari, and Ajra.
