Hyderabad, Nov. 27 -- Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, one of the country's youngest private institutions to be awarded Institution of Eminence status, is pushing strongly towards research-focussed, multidisciplinary education with global standards, Dr Rajeev Kumar Singh, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, said on Thursday.
Talking to the media here, Singh traced the university's growth since its establishment in 2011 under an Act of the Uttar Pradesh government.
In 2017, it was selected by the Centre among elite institutions envisioned to compete with leading universities across the world. Only four private universities in India currently hold this status, he noted.
