Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today praised the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and the Mumbai Police for their exemplary preparations for the Ganesh immersion ceremonies.
"Citizens and Ganesh mandals faced no difficulties during the immersion due to the preparations made by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM)," Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said this evening.
The MCGM had set up over 250 artificial lakes, making it convenient for household Ganesh idols to be immersed. The Deputy CM congratulated Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, the entire civic staff, and the Mumbai Police for their efforts in maintaining law and order.
