Shimla, Feb. 13 -- Himachal Pradesh police, intensifying their special drive against narcotics, have recovered 1.115 kilograms of charas and arrested an alleged drug peddler under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Superintendent of police Shimla Garav Singh informed that a seizure was made by a team from Deha police station on the morning of February 13, 2026, in connection with FIR No. 7/2026 registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act.
According to police sources, the operation was launched following a specific tip-off received on the evening of February 12.
