Shimla, March 3 -- Continuing its crackdown on narcotics trafficking, the Shimla District Police have detained a habitual offender under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (PIT NDPS Act).
Acting on a detention order issued by the Himachal Pradesh Government, a police team from Nankhari Police Station on Monday Prem Raj alias ID Mehta alias Santosh Mehta, a resident of village Jagot in Tehsil Nankhari, and lodged him in the District Correctional Home, Kaithu, for a period of three months.
