Shimla, Feb. 27 -- Shimla police dismantled and busted an inter-state drug cartel, arresting several persons and uncovering an illicit trail worth Rs 46 lakh in the month of February.

Superintendent of police Shimla Garauv Singh stated that in a breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, Shimla Police have dismantled an inter-state drug supply network operating between Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.

A case (FIR No. 5/26) was registered at Rohru Police Station on February 2, 2026, after police apprehended two Punjab-based youths - Jashandeep Singh and Dharampreet Singh - near Mehndli Bridge in Rohru with 83 grams of heroin (chitta).
