Shimla, Oct. 4 -- Invoking the powers vested in him under Section 6 of the Punjab State Security Act, 1953, Anupam Kashyap, the District Magistrate of Shimla, has issued orders prohibiting public order, including the holding of meetings, rallies, or protests, at 10 key locations in Shimla city. This order has been passed with immediate effect and will remain in effect for the next two months.

The prohibited areas include the stretch from Chhota Shimla to the Ridge and Kennedy House, and the distance of 150 metres from Rendezvous Restaurant to Rivoli Cinema.
