Bhopal, March 16 -- As a mark of respect to the late Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei, thousands of Shia community members residing in Madhya Pradesh would observe a silent Eid scheduled later this week.
The Iranian government had confirmed that Ali Khamenei was killed on 28 February at the beginning of the ongoing war between US-Israel and Iran in West Asia in bombings carried out at Tehran by USA and Israel.
According to All India Shia Samaj state president Iftikhar Ali, popularly known as Jaani Pahalwaan, the Shias in MP would not wear new clothes or celebrate Eid this year.
