Paris, May 31 -- American 13th seed Ben Shelton powered into the fourth round of the French Open with a straight-sets victory over Italy's Matteo Gigante at Court Simonne-Mathieu on Saturday IST. Shelton, displaying a potent mix of big-serving and aggressive groundstrokes, defeated the unseeded Gigante 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 in just under two hours to reach the second week of Roland Garros for the first time.
