New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Nepal's leading mountain biker Nirav Shrestha has emphasised the need for people of the subcontinent to shed the mentality of risk aversion in order to excel in adventure sports.
In an exclusive chat with UNI, Shrestha said, "I was there in Switzerland for the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in September. They are far ahead of us. From the time they learn to walk, they learn how to cycle.
"In our society, we discourage children. We will stop our kids if they go down the stairs on a cycle, but in Europe, they would make sure that they have a helmet and gear, and they say 'go'.
