Akola, Nov. 9 -- : Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder Sharad Pawar on Saturday acknowledged the seriousness of the alleged Rs1,800-crore land acquisition scam and urged that a fair and transparent investigation be conducted so that the truth can be presented before society.
Speaking to reporters in Akola, Pawar said, "Since Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis himself has described the issue as serious, there must be a proper investigation, and the truth should come out before the public."The controversy pertains to a land acquisition deal reportedly valued at around Rs 1,800 crore, which was allegedly purchased for approximately Rs 300 crore.
