Palampur, Sept. 1 -- Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and ex-Union Minister Shanta Kumar slammed the state government's decision to constitute a Brahmin Welfare Board with 140 members, stating the move was insensitive given the current situation of the state.

He said the Board comprises 126 members and 14 government representatives.

Expressing surprise he said that no party or worker in the state opposed the decision despite its seriousness and appreciated that one editorial mentioned his opposition atleast.

Highlighting the current situation of the crisis he added that hundreds of people have died, thousands are injured and many are still buried under debris.
