Shillong, Sept. 27 -- The Meghalaya government has appointed Shakeel Ahammed, an IAS officer of the 1995 batch of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, as its Chief Secretary.
He will succeed incumbent Donald Philips Wahlang, who is retiring on September 30.
