Melbourne, Dec. 11 -- Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi has credited Australian left-arm quick Mitchell Starc as one of the biggest influences on his bowling career, saying the veteran pacer has been a role model since his teenage years.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) website, Starc, who recently surpassed Wasim Akram to become the most successful left-arm fast bowler in Test history, has been in exceptional form during the ongoing Ashes, claiming 18 wickets and two Player-of-the-Match awards to help Australia take a 2-0 series lead.
