Jammu, May 30 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day trip to the Jammu region, will meet affected families of cross-border firing and interact with the troops of Border Security Force on Friday in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Home Minister, who left from Jammu for Poonch in the morning, will be addressing civilians affected by Pakistani shelling at Dak Bungalow in Poonch and later meet BSF jawans at Khanetar- based unit headquarters.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is also accompanying the Union Minister.

Shah will also visit damaged religious places, including Singh Sabha Gurdwara and hold a meeting with officers to assess the damage in the worst-hit district, official sources said.
