New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah today reaffirmed Modi government's commitment to eliminating the drug menace across India, emphasising a unified national approach.

In a post on X, Shah said that drugs worth Rs 4,794 crore will be destroyed to mark the inauguration of a drug destruction drive.

"Modi govt determined to eradicate menace of drugs by uniting all Anti-Narcotics Task Forces of India. Tomorrow, will address '2nd National Conference of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Heads' of States in Delhi," the Home Minister said.

He further added, "Also, will destroy drugs worth Rs 4,794 crore to mark the inauguration of a Drug destruction drive," the Home Minister said".
