Patna, Oct. 30 -- Home Minister Amit Shah today launched a sharp attack on the Opposition, accusing it of systematically attempting to erase the legacy of India's Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, after his demise.

Shah said it was "unfortunate" that a towering national figure like Sardar Patel was denied due recognition for decades and that even the Bharat Ratna was conferred upon him only after a delay of 41 years.
