Guwahati, Dec. 29 -- Blaming previous Congress governments in Assam for the problem of infiltration, union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said the BJP government in the state has already expelled such infiltrators over the last decade.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Srimanta Sankardeva Abirbhav Kshetra at the hallowed Batadrava Than in Nagaon district, the birthplace of 15th century saint and reformer Srimanta Sankardeva, Shah said that in the next five years, the BJP government will throw out all infiltrators from Assam.

Later in the day, he also inaugurated the newly built office of the Police Commissionerate here.
