Shah, Rajnath pay tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary
New Delhi, June 23 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday paid tributes to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary,healing his lifelong dedication to national unity and integrity.
In a post on X, Shah described Mookerjee as a "stalwart of the country's unity, integrity, and cultural nationalism".
"Dr Mookerjee was a true architect of national unity. He never compromised with divisive forces in West Bengal and Jammu & Kashmir and even relinquished power by resigning from Nehru's cabinet," he said.
