Navi Mumbai, Oct. 30 -- Dynamic opener Shafali Verma made her return to the Indian lineup as the Women in Blue geared up for a high-pressure semifinal clash against Australia, who won the toss and opted to bat first.

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur confirmed Shafali's inclusion in place of the injured Pratika Rawal, while wicketkeeper-batswoman Richa Ghosh and allrounder Kranti Gaud also returned to the playing XI, replacing Uma and Harleen Deol respectively.

"We were looking to bat first, but early breakthroughs can turn the game our way. We know this pitch well - we've trained and played here multiple times," said Harmanpreet, stressing on India's trademark "fearless mindset" whenever they face Australia.
