Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 15 -- High drama unfolded outside the MLA Hostel today when activists of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) blocked the vehicle of suspended Congress legislator Rahul Mamkootathil, forcing police to intervene and arrest several student leaders.
Mamkootathil, who is facing multiple sexual harassment allegations and is under a Crime Branch probe, had attended the opening day of the 14th session of the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly.
As he returned to the hostel after the sitting, SFI workers squatted on the road near the rear gate, obstructed his car, raised slogans and challenged him to step out.
