Severe heat wave at few places recorded over Saurashtra & Kutch

Pune, March 11 -- Heat wave at many places with severe heat wave at a few places had been recorded over Saurashtra and Kutch.



Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1degC or more) at many places over Rajasthan and Gujarat State; appreciably above normal (3.1degC to 5.0degC) at isolated places over Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala and Mahe; above normal (1.6degC to 3.0degC) at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh; at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala and Mahe.
